"Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen."
— Revelation 7:12
Our House · Since 1979
A prophecy that became a church
"The Church is in this House!"
— Mother Shirley Virginia Echols
In November of 1979, the Lord inspired the then-Elder Jerome S. Wilcox to establish a work for Him. Within a week, God proved Himself to His manservant by allowing him to procure the Mt. Ararat Primitive Baptist Church.
But before the church's inception, Elder Wilcox's mother — Mother Shirley Virginia Echols — was led by God to pray for his ministry. After prayer, she prophesied: "The Church is in this House!"
Over four decades later, that prophecy still stands. Through anointed preaching, aggressive outreach, and the moving of the Holy Spirit — countless families have been lifted in Trenton and beyond.

He is known throughout the region as a renowned anointed gospel preacher whose ministry has lifted countless families across the Trenton community.

— 2 Corinthians 9:7
Our Affirmation of Faith
The Word of God is the foundation. Everything we preach, every prayer we lift, every soul we win — anchored in these nine truths.
The Bible — We believe the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
The Trinity — We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
The Deity of Christ — We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, born of the virgin Mary, in His miracles, in His atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and intercession.
Salvation — The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance, faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and being baptized in water.
Regeneration — We believe regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
Divine Healing — We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the body in answer to believing prayer.
Baptism in the Holy Ghost — According to Acts 2:4, given to believers who ask for it.
Sanctifying Power — By whose indwelling, the Christian is able to live a holy, sanctified life in this world.
The Blessed Hope — The rapture of the Church of God which is in Christ, at His return.
